Valerie Anne Bertinelli was born on April 23, 1960, in Wilmington, Delaware. She grew up with her mother Nancy, her father Andrew (a GM executive), and brothers Patrick, David, and Drew, and lived in Claymont, Delaware, Shreveport, Louisiana, Clarkston, Michigan, Oklahoma City, and Los Angeles, California.
