Magic Mike’s steamy dancing has returned, this time to London.
On Tuesday, Nov. 15, Warner Bros. Pictures published a new trailer for “Magic Mike’s Last Dance,” the third and ostensibly final entry in the “Magic Mike” film trilogy.
Channing Tatum, 42, is reprising his role as stripper Mike Lane in a new film alongside Salma Hayek Pinault, 56, who plays a wealthy socialite who makes him an offer of a lifetime.
According to the film’s press release, a bad business deal pushes Lane to bartend jobs in Florida before he meets Hayek Pinault’s character, who asks him about his genuine goal to be a mixologist.
Lane describes his bartending work in Miami as “not really what I do.”
She asks back, “What is it that you really do?”
Lane is subsequently shown closing the door to a room with a view of the beach, pulling up a chair, and dancing with Hayek Pinault’s character. After numerous sensual images, Hayek Pinault’s character invites Lane to visit her in London.
Lane explains why he’s in London during a phone call that he’s putting on a concert at a prominent theatre. Lane appears to be entrusted with choreographing emotional dances for a bunch of new performers, while simultaneously falling in love with Hayek Pinault’s character since “no one’s believed” in him as much as she does.
The musical comedy appears to take some unexpected turns as the duo navigates putting on the show in the face of criticism.
The trailer concludes with kinetic rehearsal scenes and snippets of the actual performance, as well as romantic moments between the two leads.
Magic Mike’s Last Dance marks the return of director Steven Soderbergh, who directed Magic Mike and served as executive producer on the sequel, Magic Mike XXL, released in 2015. Warner Bros. Pictures is responsible for it.
In addition, several cast members from Magic Mike Live’s Vegas and London performances can be seen in the trailer and will appear in various roles throughout the film.
Magic Mike’s Last Dance got its first glance in the form of a photo Tatum and Hayek published on social media towards the end of October. The film is set to be released on February 10, 2023, for Valentine’s Day weekend.
