The most recent episode of Vinland Saga Season 2 focused on the aftermath of the fight between the Canute army and Ketil’s farm folk. The farm people suffered as a result of their feud. The majority of the farm workers were killed, and many were severely injured. The aftermath of the war was beautifully shown from Olmar’s point of view. It demonstrated how the outcomes of the wars were manifested in reality. Olmar, who used to enjoy going to war, suddenly despised it.
Thorfinn decides to speak with Canute after considering all options. However, the soldier would not let him go to speak with Canute. And Canute didn’t think it was necessary to speak with Thorfinn. Thorfinn’s only option was to wager on meeting Caunte.
Mappa Studio animated the episode well. They didn’t want anything when it came to animating the episode. From the aftermath of the war through Einar’s grief over Arnheid’s grave. They were all quite animated.

Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 21 Recap
The episode begins with the aftermath of the conflict between the Canute Force and Ketil. Canute’s men began burying the dead. Folki suggested to Canute that they requisition farm dwellings. Canute, on the other hand, rejected his offer and told him that all forces were barred from accessing the property. If the soldiers had penetrated the village, they would have begun pillaging. The purpose of that struggle was to requisition the entire farm, not to loot it.
Later, we witness Einar sobbing over Arnheid’s grave. But as he looked around, he couldn’t find Thorfinn. The following scenario showed the aftermath of the Ketil’s people from Olmar’s point of view.
Many persons were found dead or seriously injured on the ground. This was not the scene Olmar had envisioned when he decided to go to war. Later in the episode, we see Snake telling Kelil’s family about the note sent by Canute. That message said whether to fight or surrender.
Thorgil desired a confrontation with Canute. Shverkell, on the other hand, told him that he wasn’t the one to make that decision. Olmar, Ketil’s successor, was the one who made the decision. After observing the awful scene, Olmar informed them that they would surrender.
Thorfinn appears next in Canute’s base. He was there to represent Ketil and to speak with Canute. However, one of Canute’s troops refused to allow him to meet with Canute. When Thofinn arrived, a large number of soldiers congregated in one spot.
Canute noticed them assembling and inquired of Wulf about the uproar. Wulf informed him that one of Ketil’s representatives had arrived instead of Ketil, and thus he was being admitted.
He informed Canute that the emissary introduced himself as Thorfinn, son of Thors. Canute was taken aback when he heard the name Thorfinn. Wulf asked Canute if he wanted to meet him, but Canute declined because it was unnecessary.

Drott (Canute Solider) continued to attack Thorfinn, but he was able to dodge his blows. Einar arrived at the location where Thorfin was. Einar advised that they depart because conversing with Canute was pointless. Thorfinn noticed the assembled soldiers betting on how many punches he would take before fleeing.
Thorfinn told Drott (Canute Solider) that he wanted to bet on himself. And rather than accepting money as a prize, he wishes to speak with Canute. Thorfinn gambled on him taking a hundred punches from Drott. Dortt then tries to punch Thorfinn towards the end of the episode.
