The Twitter account of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s Office was hacked late on Friday night. The hacker also tagged hundreds of users and tweeted several times, changing the DP and background picture of the CMO’s handle. According to the information received, the account of the CMO was hacked at 12.30 pm. The error persisted for about 40 minutes and the account was restored at 1.10 minutes. However, even after reinstatement, there is no official statement on the matter so far.
The profile picture was first changed after the account of CMO UP was hacked late at night. The tweet with this screenshot was also pinned to the profile so that it appears at the top. The previous picture or banner in the profile was also changed.
A tweet pinned by an account hacker provided information about a tutorial on creating an animated picture. A three-stage process was also described. The link was also given. The profile bio of the Chief Minister’s Office also changed. In this, the CMO was described as the co-founder of the board app YC and Yug Labs.
This was seen in the Metaverse location. However this link did not work. As soon as the Chief Minister’s Office got information that the Twitter account had been hacked, the exercise to restore it started. However, it took more than an hour and a half to fix it.
Users complained to the police
When Twitter users came to know that the account of the UP CMO had been hacked, people started taking screenshots. Along with this, tagging organizations like UP Police, NIA, Cyber Dost, UP Government, Central Government, Twitter India started sharing these screenshots.
BJP President JP Nadda’s Twitter account also hacked
Earlier, the Twitter account of Bharatiya Janata Party National President JP Nadda was hacked on February 27 at 10 am. A series of tweets from Russia and Ukraine supported the BJP leader’s Twitter account. However, in another tweet, Nadda told the users that the account has been hacked. Later this account was recovered.
