A shocking news has come out in Rohtas district of Bihar. Some thieves escaped by stealing an iron bridge 60 feet long and weighing 20 tons. Throughout the day the thieves carried out this wonderful theft. It is said that some people came as Irrigation Department officials and started cutting and uprooting the old iron bridge built on the canal. The thieves cut the bridge with a gas cutter, uprooted it from JCB and loaded it into the car. Later it was found that he was not an officer of the irrigation department, but a thief. While the villagers were surprised to know the reality, on the other hand the theft of the bridge also stirred the local administration. Please note that this bridge was not in use.

According to the information received, the incident of bridge theft took place in Amiyavar of Nasriganj police station area of ​​Rohtas district. Thieves stole the iron bridge in broad daylight on the Ara canal built around 1972. In the form of divisional officers, some people arrived with JCB, pickup van, gas cutter etc. and in 3 days the entire bridge was broken and cut. The most interesting thing is that the thieves also took the help of local departmental employees on the pretext of being an officer of the Irrigation Department and in their presence the entire bridge was stolen. In the presence of local employees, the thieves cut the bridge and took them to the pickup. This process continued for 3 days, but neither the local employees nor the higher officials were aware of it.

Villagers upset, in the box of stream
Villagers are shocked by this incident. Villagers Mantu Singh, Shivkalyan Bharadwaj and others said that they understood that the officials of the Irrigation Department were removing the damaged bridge. Villagers said that during this they also saw some departmental employees, who are seasonal employees of the area, on the spot. Due to which he was unable to speak and the whole bridge was stolen. This iron bridge was dilapidated and people did not use it. The villagers also pleaded for the removal of the bridge.

60 feet long bridge
The iron bridge was about 60 feet long and 12 feet high. When the bridge was stolen, the villagers and the department realized that they were trapped. After this, the divisional officers filed a case against the bridge thieves in the police station. The manner in which the criminals stole the iron bridge over the canal in broad daylight, raises many questions.

What do the officials say?
In this regard, Junior Engineer of Irrigation Department Arshad Kamal Shamsi said that the bridge has been declared abandoned. Gradually over the years most of the bridge was stolen. The bridge was to be removed but some people came to know that the bridge had been stolen by the villagers. A case has been registered in this regard at Nasriganj police station.
