WhatsApp is coming up with a powerful feature to further strengthen the security of its users. After the introduction of this feature, the tension of account hacking will end. Actually, a new security feature is coming in WhatsApp, so that people can protect their account from scammers. According to a feature tracker, this feature is called Login Approval Feature and the company is currently working on it.

This feature will be based on two-step verification, which the instant messaging platform already offers. With this feature, the user can receive alerts in WhatsApp when he logs into the account from another smartphone. Recently, it was reported that WhatsApp is working on adding the ability to see past group members on iOS.

This is how the login approval feature will work

WhatsApp’s new feature tracker WABetaInfo has said in a report that the Meta-owned instant messaging platform WhatsApp is rolling out beta version 2.22.17.22. The feature tracker has spotted a new feature called Login Acceptance, which is currently in development and may be released as part of a future update.

This feature will send in-app alerts to the users

Reportedly, the login approval feature will send in-app alerts to users when another user tries to log into their account from another smartphone. The user will reportedly be able to login only after getting approval from the handset where the account is already logged in. This feature is said to reduce the risk of the user’s account and information being stolen.

WhatsApp already offers two-step verification feature. The login approval feature can also reportedly protect users if they have inadvertently shared their six-digit security code. According to the purported screenshot shared by the WhatsApp feature tracker, the alert also shows the time and phone details when an attempt to login was made.
