End-to-end encryption: In 2016, WhatsApp released a new feature that allows chat messages to be accessed by third parties other than chat users, be it Facebook, Apple, Google, or WhatsApp.

Hide Last Seen, Profile Photo and Status Updates: A few days back this feature came which allows WhatsApp users to hide their profile photo, status update and last seen photo from certain contacts. These features can be used with the ‘Accept my Contacts’ option.
