Disappearing Messages: This recently introduced feature lets you choose how long messages can disappear from the chat. This feature can be used to protect both privacy and storage. You can enable this feature by going to the settings of the chat you want to turn on.

Hide Last Seen, Profile Photo and Status Updates: A few days back this feature came which allows WhatsApp users to hide their profile photo, status update and last seen photo from certain contacts. These features can be used with the ‘Accept my Contacts’ option.
