The first case of a new type of omicron of Kovid-19 has been seen in Mumbai. Here the first case of Omicron’s XE variant has come to the fore. At the same time, the case of Omicron’s Kappa variant has also come to the fore. Out of which 376 samples were tested. Of these, 230 are residents of Mumbai. However, patients with the new type of infection do not show any severe symptoms.
Out of 230 patients in Mumbai, 21 had to be hospitalised. None of the patients who received only the first dose of the vaccine were hospitalized. Of those who received both doses of the vaccine, nine were hospitalized. Twelve patients were hospitalized without a single dose of vaccine. None of the 21 hospitalized patients required oxygen or intensive care.
