It has been scorching heat in Delhi for the last several days. Entire Delhi is in the grip of heat. According to the data received late Saturday evening, Palam in Delhi also recorded a maximum temperature of 42.7 degrees Celsius, seven notches above normal. The temperature in Lodhi Road was 42.8 degrees and in Pitampura 43.4 degrees. In this way, the heat has broken the record of the last 12 years.
According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature recorded on Saturday was 42.6 degrees in Safdarjung, Delhi. Which is the highest in the last 12 years. Earlier, on 12 and 13 April 2010, the maximum temperature was recorded at 41.6 degrees. However, the average maximum temperature in the second fortnight of April 2017 was 42.4 degree Celsius.
On Friday, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 19.7 degrees Celsius. Also the hottest places in Delhi were Sports Complex, Pitampura and Najafgarh.
The maximum temperature in the sports complex was 43.9 degrees Celsius, Pitampura 43.4 degrees Celsius and Najafgarh 43.3 degrees Celsius. The highest minimum temperature was recorded in Pitampura at 25.9 degrees Celsius and in the sports complex at 25.8 degrees Celsius.
