Due to his radical views during chemical engineering, Mortaza turned to terrorism. Investigating agencies have learned that Murtaza was angry with his friends for celebrating the death of the terrorist. After talking to the comrades, it came to know that if a terrorist is caught or killed, then his classmates are happy. Then he got very angry. At some point he even thought of killing his classmates.
Murtaza felt that Muslims were being harassed
Murtaza felt that the whole world was troubling the Muslim community. According to sources, during interrogation, Mortaza told that in 2017 he started learning computer programming on the Internet. From here he started feeling that he was in paradise, Allah is angry with him.
Mortaza thought he was gay. When the family came to know about this, they started getting treatment. Doctors called it hypomania. In June 2019, Murtaza was married to a girl from Mulla Tola of Jaunpur. They got divorced a month later.
Divorced from mobile phone too. From January 2020, he started learning hi-tech computer coding. In the meantime, he once again came in contact with the Syrian people. Impressed, he gave him eight lakh rupees from his Nepali account. Murtaza felt that the whole world was troubling Muslims.

On the evening of 3 April, at around 7.15 pm, a young man attacked the soldiers guarding the Gorakhnath temple with a sharp weapon. The police arrested the accused with the help of passers-by. He has been identified as Murtaza Abbasi, a resident of Park Road, Civil Lines.
Police have registered two separate cases against the accused at Gorakhnath police station. Apart from the police, ATS and STF are also investigating the matter. The NIA team is also investigating at its level.
