He discovers that zombies threaten the kingdom’s future. Chang Lee vows to overcome many obstacles to save his people from this apparently everlasting plague. He joins a group of survivors to find a solution.
Kim Seong-hun directed and Kim Eun-hee wrote Kingdom. One of Netflix’s first South Korean genre films. The 2019 season was renewed. The show was so successful that it spun out Kingdom: Ashin of the North, a 92-minute prequel to the first season. This special debuted in July 2021.

Frank Darabont’s The Walking Dead debuted in October 2010. The Golden Globe-nominated series is based on Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard’s comic book series of the same name.
The Walking Dead takes place after a pandemic has turned practically the whole planet into zombies. Throughout its several seasons, viewers watch a group of survivors fight zombies, or walkers, to survive. The main character, cop Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), wakes up from a coma to this grim situation.
He only moves on to find his wife Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies) and son Carl (Chandler Riggs). Both survivors are with Rick’s former patrol partner and best friend Shane Walsh. This year, the show’s eleventh season will end, but the characters may return.
5. The Strain
The Strain is a 2014 American television horror drama produced by FX. It was adapted from Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan’s novel series of the same name. This television version, created for the FX network by J. Miles Dale and Gennifer Hutchinson, aired for four seasons, from May 2015 to August 2017.
An unmoving stop occurs on the runway as a Boeing 767 lands at New York’s JFK airport. There are several pallid bodies inside, four of which regain consciousness, and a mysterious casket full of dirt in the baggage claim area. The Master (Robert Maillet), a vampire also known as Jusef Sardu, enters in town in this fashion.

4. Ash vs Evil Dead
Created by Sam Raimi, Ivan Raimi, and Tom Spezialy, Ash vs. Evil Dead is an American horror-comedy series airing on Starz Network. Set in the same universe as the Evil Dead films, it premiered in October of 2015. After three seasons, it was canceled due to low viewership.
Here, it’s 33 years after the events of Army of Darkness, and Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) is still going strong. The passage of time and the weight of living under the shadow of what happened in the Middle Ages have transformed Ash into a carefree womanizer who spends his days moving from bar to bar. Ash has spent all this time avoiding maturing and seemingly doing very little with his life.
3. Happiness
This near-future apocalyptic thriller, starring Han Hyo-joo and Park Hyung-sik, follows the fallout of a mystery infectious disease’s outbreak in a brand-new urban high-rise. Therefore, the high-rise condo is completely enclosed.
This compelling 2021 series relies on well-written, at times flawed characters and exposes the dire fights for survival, much like the fantasy drama All of Us Are Dead. The suspense thriller Happiness, with its gorgeous score, is a great option for people who are more interested in the mystery than the action typically associated with the post-apocalyptic genre.
2. Zombie Detective
The comedic fantasy film Zombie Detective revolves around Kim Moo-Young (Choi Jin-Hyuk), a zombie who has no recollection of his life before becoming one two years ago. While this is going on, he meets Kong Sun-Ji (Park Joo-Hyun), a former writer for a current affairs complaint program who now works part-time at his detective agency.
The series may not be for everyone (especially those hoping for a more serious take on the zombie genre), but it provides viewers with a hilariously entertaining plot that blends mystery and comedy with the genre.

The BBC aired the drama miniseries Survivors in 2008. It was a reimagining of a show that originally aired in 1975 with the same title. Adrian Hodges oversaw production of two seasons of this refreshed edition. Abby Grant (Julie Graham) is the protagonist, and the story is set in a post-apocalyptic world where almost all of humanity has been wiped out by a mysterious and catastrophic illness.
There are only a handful of people that make it through the virus, but they band together to face their ordeal head-on and make it through each day. They have to start anew in a foreign place where all of the things that were previously known and safe are now foreign and scary.
This is not simple, as there are numerous disagreements and tensions between them, but they will need to set them aside and work together if they are to succeed in this new environment. The characters eventually face off against competing bands of survivors.
