Monsoon has officially reached Gujarat. Complaints of water logging and falling of trees have started coming to the fore in Ahmedabad city during the sporadic rain of 24 hours. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has started 22 control rooms in different areas under Monsoon Control Room in Teva and announced its number. The main control room at Paldi Tagore Hall is functional and 25 different control rooms have also been started.
It is noteworthy that at the beginning of the monsoon, heavy rains were recorded with strong winds, causing the problem of falling trees in different parts of the city. Due to which the officers and employees of the Horticulture Department are also working in this control room.
Apart from this, the control room of fire brigade has been made functional by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. In which a separate control room has been made for the disposal of rain water. The problem of flood has also arisen in the last 3 hours of rain, due to which people are facing difficulties. However, the control room will remain operational for the next three months to resolve these issues.
After opening the control room, Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner Lochan Sahera along with the officials of the Water Supply Department visited the control room at Tagore Hall and reviewed the situation. Along with this, he also gave necessary directions to the officials.
