Initially, you were able to delete a message within 8 minutes of sending it. Later the time was increased to 1 hour 8 minutes 16 seconds. However sometimes we remember to delete the message even after the timeout.

This problem is going to end soon. According to the report, WhatsApp is now going to increase the time limit for deleting messages to more than 2 days. According to WABetaInfo, the time limit for deleting any message on WhatsApp is being extended by 2 days to 12 hours. This means you can now easily delete a message.

WABetaInfo said: “WhatsApp is finally introducing a new deadline for some beta testers! The previous limit was 1 hour, 8 minutes and 16 seconds. We tried deleting the message we sent yesterday and it worked! We can also confirm that the new deadline is indeed 2 days and 12 hours.”

The report also states that WhatsApp is also working on some other features for the Delete for Everyone feature. If you are a group admin, then another feature is coming soon to delete any message in the group.
