San Francisco police have initiated a manhunt following a shooting incident on Friday night. The incident, described as targeted and isolated, resulted in nine people being shot.
Upon arriving at the scene in the Mission District, officers discovered multiple victims with gunshot wounds. The injured individuals were promptly taken to local hospitals, and fortunately, all are expected to recover.
While the motive behind the shooting remains unknown, authorities believe it was a deliberate act. No arrests have been made thus far.
The police were alerted to the incident shortly after 9 p.m. local time. Santiago Lerma, a legislative aide, expressed his concern after hearing the gunshots, as he had been in the vicinity with his three-month-old baby an hour prior.
The neighborhood, known as “The Mission,” is renowned for its vibrant music scene, nightlife, and restaurants. The San Francisco Police Department assured the public via Twitter that there is currently no known threat.
