Nicole Cage Western Movie the Old Way Release Date is Out! Watch the Trailer!

The Old Way is an upcoming American Western movie that will star Nicolas Cage. It will be directed by Brett Donowho.

The movies were made in Montana. In October 2021, members of the film crew complained about how property key assistant and armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed handled guns. For example, she once fired a gun without warning, which made the main actor, Nicolas Cage, leave the set.

Later, Gutierrez-Reed worked as an armorer on the set of Rust, and he was a key figure in the shooting that killed Halyna Hutchins and hurt director Joel Souza. In January 2022, Saban Films bought the rights to show the movie.

Nicolas Cage has never been in a western, but he has done everything else. That will change in January, when Saban Films’ The Old Way, which is his first role in a western, hits theatres. Cage will play a gunslinger who wants to get even. Saban has shared the official trailer for the movie before it comes out.

In the movie, Cage plays a cold-blooded gunslinger named Colton Briggs. He is a family man who goes into retirement until outlaws kill his wife. Colton and his 12-year-old daughter (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) are still in danger, so he goes after the outlaws to get his revenge and stop them for good. But he doesn’t do it by himself. He works with his daughter and teaches her how to use a gun.

At the beginning of the trailer, a man tells Colton’s daughter how her mother changed him into a family man. He stresses how important this change was and why her death had such a big effect.

It shows how cruel Colton is as a gunslinger and hints at the action and violence to come in the movie. Viewers can also see some of his traits in his daughter, who is eager to jump in and help Colton and learn anything he’s willing to teach her, which seems to be a lot based on some of her interactions.

Visually, the trailer creates a familiar Western setting by showing Briggs’ house, the town, and different natural environments.

Carl W. Lucas (The Wave) wrote The Old Way, and Brett Donowhor directed it (Acts of Violence). It was made by Donowho, Cage, Sasha Yelaun, Robert Paschall Jr., R. Bryan Wright, Micah Haley, Johnny Remo, and Saturn Films.

Lucas, Joshua Bunting, David Haring, Christian Mercuri, Mehrdad Moayedi, and Fred Roos are among the show’s executive producers. The movie also features Noah Le Gros, Clint Howard, Kerry Knuppe, Nick Searcy, and Shiloh Fernandez, in addition to Cage and Armstrong.

The Old Way comes out in theatres on January 2, 2023. On January 13, it will be available on Premium Video on Demand and Premium Digital. Check out the video below:
