WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow users to silently exit groups. WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo has learned that the instant messaging platform is working on this new feature and it may be rolled out in the future. If this feature comes, then this feature will be very good for those people who belong to such group, which is not their work and have to stay there under compulsion.
The new feature of WhatsApp will also be available for Android, iOS and desktop users. If rolled out, a WhatsApp group member can silently leave the group without informing the group members. It was also noted by WABetaInfo that if a member leaves. Only the group admin will be notified after the group.
At the same time, WhatsApp is also working on a new feature that will be able to see the past participants of a particular group. It is being tested on Android Beta. It is not yet clear whether the ability to view past participants will be available to all group members or only to group administrators.
An edit button is also coming soon on WhatsApp, WhatsApp tracking website Wabetainfo has taken note of this feature. WhatsApp will now allow users to edit messages after sending them. WhatsApp started working on this feature five years ago, but it was removed as soon as it was reported on Twitter. Finally, after a hiatus of five years, WhatsApp is again looking at working on the edit feature.
