Maybe there is a Hindu family which does not have a temple in its house. It is believed that being in a temple house brings happiness, prosperity and peace in the house. The house where there is a temple, positive energy resides in the house and sorrow and poverty remain away. This is the reason why the temple occupies the main place in any house.

According to Vastu Shastra, the temple is considered to be the most sacred part of the house. The idols of the Lord are installed in the temple of our homes and by worshiping and meditating on the Lord, one becomes religiously strong and the mind also remains calm. But do you know that Vastu Shastra is also used to keep the idols of God in the house in the temple.

According to the thing, how and at which place the idols of Gods and Goddesses are installed in the house, the same thing affects the happiness, prosperity and wealth of the house. Therefore, while installing the idols of deities in the house, some things should be kept in mind and everyone should follow every rule related to the temple.

Let us tell you today which gods and goddesses may have trouble keeping the idol in the temple. Many people keep the idol of God in a small temple in their house. In many cases more than one idol is also installed in the temple. However, according to the scriptures, the temple of the house should have as few idols as possible.

Because the rules related to every god are different. It is very difficult to follow all the rules. Worship is not successful in that and does not get the expected result. So that at least one can keep idols in the temple of the house. It is considered very auspicious to have Lord Ganesha in the house, who is remembered first on auspicious occasions.

However, some things should be kept in mind while keeping the idol of Ganapati in the house. Especially those who have more than one idol of Ganpati in their house, whether it is big or small, they should take special care of some things. The idol of Ganpati should never be in one number i.e. three, five or seven in the house.

Instead it should always be an odd number. Similarly, if you keep Shivling in the house, then it also has some rules. According to the scriptures, the size of the Shivling kept in the house should not be more than the first part of our thumb. Shivling is a symbol of energy, and large Shivling can be kept only in temples. A standing photo or idol of Maa Lakshmi should not be kept in the house.

Always try to put only the sitting photos of Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Ganesha and Saraswati in the temple. According to Vastu Shastra, there should be a house of worship in the Northeast corner of the house. The idol or picture of Shani Dev should never be placed in the house. Shani Dev is considered to be the god of China. Keeping his picture or idol in your house can be overwhelming.
