200 grams of wheat dal
100 grams of peas
1 teaspoon mustard
2 green chillies (finely chopped)
1 onion chopped
1 teaspoon grated ginger
100 grams of grated carrot
1/4 cup refined oil
1 handful chopped coriander leaves

How to make Dalia upma recipe

1. To prepare this simple and healthy dish, first wash the wheat dal well with water. Drain the excess water and keep the porridge aside. Cleaning the porridge is very important.

2. After that add 3-4 tbsp refined oil in a pressure cooker and heat it for a minute on medium flame. Add the mustard and when it splutters add the onions, green chillies and ginger. Saute the ingredients until the onion turns light pink.

3. After a while add peas, carrots, oatmeal and salt. Mix everything well and fry on medium heat for 3-4 minutes. Add 4-5 cups of water to the mixture and put it on the pressure cooker with 1 whistle.

4. Once the vegetables and dal are cooked well, switch off the gas and take out the porridge upama in a serving bowl. Garnish this healthy dish with chopped coriander and serve hot with tea or coffee.
