- 1 cup washed moong dal
- a cup of rice
- 1/2 cup chopped beans
- 1 small potato
- 1 cup Cauliflower
- 1/2 cup carrots
- 1 medium tomato
- 1 green chili chopped
- 1/2 tsp ginger paste
- 1/4 tsp garam masala
- 2 dry red chilies
- 1 teaspoon ground spices
- 3 tbsp ghee
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/8 tsp asafoetida
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds

To make Moong Dal Ki Masala Khichdi, first wash and keep the moong dal and rice well. Now put ghee in a cooker and after heating it, add vegetables with spices and fry them. After this, put rice, moong dal and water in the cooker and whistle.
After this, heat ghee in a pan, add cumin and asafetida, then add tomato, green chili, turmeric powder, salt, red chili powder and ginger paste, garam masala and cook for some more time, then add the prepared khichdi to it and cook for about 10 minutes.
In a pan prepare the tempering of ghee, mustard seeds and dry red chillies. After removing the khichdi from the gas, garnish it with tempering and garnish with green coriander. Now serve this khichdi hot with curd, papad, ghee and pickle.
