He informed on Monday that the state government is considering setting up a Medical Service Commission to fill vacancies in government medical colleges.

Responding to a question in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Mahajan said the state has 22 government medical colleges, where 322 of the 490 sanctioned posts of professors have been filled, while 920 of the 1,126 sanctioned posts of associate professors have been filled. gone

Mahajan told the Legislative Council that the government was considering setting up the Maharashtra Medical Service Commission to fill these vacancies. The minister said that after correspondence with the Maharashtra Public Service Commission, he was informed that the process of filling up the vacancies by August 30 would be expedited.
