We all know that the riverfront on the Sabarmati river in Ahmedabad is a very beautiful place and many people go there to enjoy. The riverfront on the Sabarmati River adds to the beauty of Ahmedabad. Like Surat, now the riverfront is going to be ready on the Tapi river.
For this, CR Patil has given an important statement regarding the purification of Tapi river. The government has decided to take several steps to purify the Tapi river. The plan is to deepen the tender without paying a rupee. The 21 km long TAPI will be deepened without charging any royalty from the tenderer. The state government has passed a tender worth Rs 900 crore.
CR Patil further said that when there is a flood in the river, the water level increases so much that the depth decreases, for which the state government took steps and the state government also passed the tender. The big tenders who came, they told that sand is not our job, but they have huge machines.
Every day on our head, we work but you don’t pay us, so we don’t even pay royalty and the government has decided not to ask for royalty. At the same time, one rupee will not be paid by the government or the corporation for the tender. People will take out sand at the time of tender.
At the same time, in a length of 23 km, it will deepen the river by about 20 feet and maintain it for 10 years. Like Ahmedabad riverfront on the Sabarmati river, Surat will also have a magnificent riverfront on the Tapi river.
Further details of the project are as follows: 6 km stretch of water passing through Surat city and 66 km running section of water passing through Surat city. River front development is planned to make the area attractive. The estimated cost of this project is Rs.3904 crore.
