Kia is all set to launch the X-Line variant of its compact SUV Sonnet. The company has shared this information by releasing a teaser of its front grille. Its front look and new grille are being seen in this official teaser.

Let us tell you that the upcoming X line variant is being brought as the top spec, which will replace the current top model GTX Plus when it arrives. The teaser also mentions the X-Line coming soon. In the Indian market, it will compete with compact SUVs like Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Punch.

No changes will be made to the engine


The powertrain of the Sonata X-Line is not yet known, but it is expected that the engine will not be changed. Let us know that the Sonnet comes with a total of 4 engine options. It has the first 1.2-litre petrol engine, which generates 81.8hp power and 115Nm of torque. Second, there is a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine.

This engine generates power of 118bhp and peak torque of 172Nm. At the same time, customers get a diesel engine as a third option. For transmission, the Sonnet is mated to an automatic or manual gearbox.

This car will be equipped with many advanced features


The Kia Sonnet X-Line will be the top variant, due to which it will also get many great features. It is expected to feature dark cabin theme, 5-seater cabin with ventilated front seats, Highline tire pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, cruise control, auto climate control, keyless entry, parking sensors and a multifunctional steering wheel. The top model of Sonet is priced at Rs 13.79 Lakh ex-showroom. In such a situation, the price of the X line variant is also expected to be close to it.
