KBC 14: Anupam Kher Discusses Amitabh Bachchan’s Love of Food, and the Superstar Reveals His Favourite Delhi Street Food Spot
On the game show, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, and KBC 14 host Amitabh Bachchan will promote their upcoming film Uunchai.
On his show Kaun Banega Crorepati 14, actor Amitabh Bachchan appears as the quizmaster. Big B, on the other hand, will be seen promoting his film Uunchai with close friends and co-stars Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, and Neena Gupta in an upcoming special episode. On the show, the four of them got nostalgic and shared some interesting behind-the-scenes information.
In a future episode of the show, Amitabh, who attended college in Delhi, reveals that the best ‘chaat’ can be found in the capital’s Bengali Market. Back in the day, there was a lane behind the shop where they shot the movie where he would eat chaat and paani puri.
Anupam then goes on to say that Amitabh enjoys food that is “the tastiest food in the world.” Boman also mentions that whenever there was a food sequence during the shoot, Big B had the food before the shoot.
The ages of the actors in Uunchai correspond beautifully to the ages of their characters in real life. However, Anupam Kher revealed on the show that Boman Irani was initially hesitant to join the cast due to personal reasons.
To this, Boman admitted that he was in a different frame of mind at the time of the film’s casting because he had lost relatives and his best friend during Covid. Following his conversation with Sooraj Barjatya, Anupam called him.
Anupam was so impressed with the narration that he called Boman and told him he had to be a part of the film by any means necessary. Anupam admitted that he was aware of Boman’s mental state, but persuaded him that missing out on this film was equivalent to depriving himself of a good film.
Uunchai, directed by Sooraj Barjatya, also stars Danny Denzongpa, Parineeti Chopra and Sarika. The theme of the film is the importance of friendship, specifically how a group of friends come to the decision to climb Mount Everest in order to carry out the final wish of one of their own.
