According to a source Before she killed herself, “Toddlers and Tiaras” actress Kailia Posey left a letter and a gift for her mother.

Posey’s mother, Marcy Gatterman, recently spoke with E! News about her son’s final days.

“It seemed fine to me in the days and weeks leading up to this,” Gatterman told the site. “I did not search through her phone.” She attended prom with a large group of her pals. And everything was OK the next day.”

On the other hand, Posey stole the family automobile on May 1 after her mother went out to get groceries and never came back.

Her dead body was discovered on May 2, and the cause and manner of death were confirmed Wednesday by the Whatcom County Medical Examiner’s Office in an online release.

The 16-year-old pageant contestant died of “asphyxia due to ligature hanging and the manner is a suicide,” according to officials.

“She left me a note and then one for her best friend,” Gatterman explained. “The note said she loved me, that she was sorry, and that her big brother is her best friend forever.”

Posey also purchased a blanket for her mother, which arrived two weeks after her mother died. The pageant queen discovered the blanket on TikTok, which was designed to resemble an embrace.

“Dear Mom, even when I’m not physically present, I want you to know how much I love and appreciate you.” Always. Wrap it around yourself and consider it a great hug. According to Posey’s mother, a note with the blanket said, “I love you.”

Gatterman also stressed the importance of parents checking in on their children and encouraging children to open up to their parents.

“Parents who have teenagers, check their phones,” she said. “Talk to your parents if you’re having trouble.” They are not passing judgment on you. They will get you the assistance you require, but we must first learn what assistance you require.”

Posey got her start on “Toddlers and Tiaras,” the TLC show that began Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson’s career. The TLC show aired for seven seasons before ending in 2013. The program followed families while their children competed in beauty pageants.
