According to a report, Salman Khan’s lawyer Abad Ponda told the court that the actor had only asked his bodyguard to stop the journalist from taking his picture. He said only bodyguards should be prosecuted.

The Bombay High Court has granted relief to Bollywood actor Salman Khan in a case of misconduct with a journalist. The Bombay High Court on Thursday stayed the summons issued by the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court during the hearing of the case against Salman Khan and his bodyguard Nawaz Sheikh. Following the complaint of journalist Ashok Pandey, the Andheri court on March 22 issued summons against Salman Khan and his bodyguard and asked them to appear in court on April 5. Although Salman Khan had earlier approached the High Court, the High Court has now granted relief to Salman Khan till May 5.

Salman Khan’s name was added in the second complaint

According to a report by Bar & Beach, Salman Khan’s lawyer Abad Ponda told the court that the actor had only asked his bodyguard to stop the journalist from taking his picture. He said only bodyguards should be prosecuted. Ponda also told the court that the actor’s name was initially deleted when the complaint was lodged, but Salman’s name was added when the complaint was lodged again in June 2019.

At the same time, Ashok Pandey’s lawyer Ejaz Khan told the court that the journalist was saddened by the incident. He was very surprised and that is why he did not name the actor in his initial complaint. After hearing both the parties, Justice Revathi Mohit Dere, who presided over the hearing of the case, said that if the actor was involved in the case, his name should be in the first complaint.

The bar and the bench quoted Justice Revathi as saying, "You are a journalist" If someone attacks you in any way, you will not remain silent. The court has directed that the next hearing of the case be held on May 5.

Let me tell you that this case is from the year 2019. When Salman Khan was cycling on the roads of Mumbai, journalist Ashok Pandey wanted to take pictures of him. Ashok Pandey claims that he got permission from Salman’s bodyguard, but his bodyguard and Salman still treated him badly. Two complaints were registered in this case. On April 1, 2019 in which Salman Khan’s name was not mentioned. The second complaint was lodged in June 2019, in which Salman Khan’s name was also added.
