Jharkhand-Trikoot ropeway accident: 48 people are hanging in the air for 20 hours, food and water being given by drone
Rescue operation of NDRF and Army is going on in Trikoot ropeway accident in Jharkhand. Facing the challenge of being brought safely to the base camp, 48 people are stuck in the air for the last 20 hours.
At present 48 people are trapped in accidents on the highest ropeway in Jharkhand. Trikoot rope-way trolleys collided with each other at 5 pm on Sunday. Due to which people got stuck on the hill. Late night NDRF started rescue operation. Soldiers were also called for help, but people could not be brought back safely.
In fact, on Ramnavami on Sunday, hundreds of tourists came here to worship and visit. A ropeway trolley was coming down, which collided with the oncoming trolley. The occupants of the trolley were injured in the accident. About two dozen trolleys were in the air at the time of the accident. Many people were hurriedly evacuated.
However, even 20 hours after the accident, 48 people are still hanging in the air. They are riding in 18 trolleys. As soon as the army helicopter arrived to save these people, 18 trolleys started trembling due to the strong wind of the propeller of the helicopter and the lives of the people on board were in danger.
Food and water being provided by drone
Efforts are on to rescue the people trapped in the ropeway. Even after hours of effort, the rescue team did not get success. Attempts are being made by helicopter. The people trapped above are being given food and water by drone. Small children, men and some women are trapped in the trolley. Guides and photographers are also trapped.
In this regard, District Collector Manjunath Bhai Jantri said, “At present the ropeway is closed. The accident happened due to the display of trolleys. The injured have been rushed to the hospital. Efforts are on to rescue the people trapped in the trolley with the help of NDRF and Army. Ignore any rumours.
