It’s Expected That Apple’s First Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality Headset and Updated Macs Will Be Released This Year!!

Everything Apple could introduce in 2023, from virtual reality headsets to iPhones with USB Type-C connectors.

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg says that Apple’s first Virtual Reality (VR)/Augmented Reality (AR) headset could finally go on sale in the fall of this year. The AR/VR headset was supposed to be shown off in January 2023, which would be this month. However, the product has been delayed several times.

Gurman has now confirmed in his latest Power On newsletter that Apple might announce its first VR headset in the spring of 2023, possibly at the WWDC 2023 event, and that the device might go on sale by the end of the year.

The newsletter says that Apple has already given the Reality Pro VR headset to some developers so they can test it and make apps for other companies. Inside the company, the operating system is called “Borealis,” and the public name will be “xrOS,” as Bloomberg has said before. As the report said, “XR” stands for “extended reality.” This means that this will be a Mixed Reality (MR) device that will work with both VR and AR.

People also say that Apple is still making changes to the Reality Pro VR headset’s software, hardware, and services. When it comes out, the headset is likely to be a pricey device, as previous reports have said that it could cost $2,000 or more. Apple analyst Ming Chi-Kuo has also said in the past that the product won’t ship until the second half of 2023.

Gurman also says that updated MacBooks will come out in the first half of 2023. The new MacBook Pro will come in two sizes: 14 inches and 16 inches. It will be powered by the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, which give the CPU and GPU slightly better performance. There could also be a new MacBook Air with a 15-inch screen.

He also says again that the Mac Pro with a 48-core CPU and 152-core GPU has been canceled. Instead, Apple will release a new Mac Pro with the M2 Ultra, which will look like the current Mac Pro with Intel. Apple could also make an iMac Pro with a big screen based on Apple Silicon in 2023. But the next-generation Apple M3 processor won’t be in the next-generation 24-inch iMac until next year. It won’t come out until next year.

Mark Gurman has confirmed that Dynamic Island will be on all four iPhone models of 2023. There is a USB Type-C port, a titanium frame, and haptic volume buttons on the iPhone 15 Pro models. The next-generation A17 Bionic processor will be used in both the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Apple could release a new iPad mini, iPad Air, or even the basic iPad with better specs, but they are likely to look the same as the ones that are already out. In early 2024, Apple will release new, better iPad Pros with an OLED screen and newer Apple Silicon.
