After being ousted from power in Pakistan, the problems of former Prime Minister Imran Khan have increased. Pakistan’s top investigative agency FIA has started an investigation into allegations of selling expensive necklaces gifted to Imran Khan. Imran Khan is accused of gifting a jeweler a costly necklace worth Rs 18 crore instead of depositing it at a state gift shop during his tenure.

According to the Express Tribune, the necklace presented to Khan was not sent to Tosha-Khana (State Gift Store) but to former special assistant Zulfikar Bukhari, who sold it to a Lahore-based jeweler for Rs 18 crore. Reports for Rs.

It has been said in the report that the public can keep the gift at half the price but Imran Khan has deposited only the last few lakh rupees which is illegal. So now investigation has been started against him. By law, state officials are required to deposit gifts received from dignitaries into the treasury. If they fail to collect the gift, they will have to pay at least half the price.
