India’s cheapest electric car to be launched soon

The company is going to launch a new electric car soon after the MG ZS EV, which can be a small car. According to media reports, the company is also considering launching a very cheap car in India. The codename of the car is MG E230.

MG’s new electric car will be much smaller in size, with only two doors and seating for 4 people. The company can launch it in India by next year. The EV will measure 2,197 mm in length, 1,493 mm in width and 1,621 mm in height, while the wheelbase is 1,940 mm. Overall, this car will be as big as the Maruti Alto in size. The car is very popular in the Chinese market and that is why the company is planning to launch it in India keeping in mind the economy-savvy mood of the Indian consumers.

Comes with great features
The new electric car will come with EBD ABS, rear parking sensors and dual airbags at the front. Apart from this, connected car technology can also be found in the car. One can get a 20 kW-R battery pack here which gives the car a range of up to 150 km on a single charge. It is being speculated that the price of the new MG EV will be less than Rs 10 lakh, which comes in the budget of the consumers. With this price, it will become the cheapest electric car in India. Currently, the cheapest electric car in India is the Tata Tigor EV with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs. 11.99 lakhs.
