Nana Patekar’s hilarious dialogues in ‘Tadka: Love Is Cooking,’ starring Taapsee Pannu, Ali Fazal, and Shriya Saran, are sure to make you laugh.
In the one-minute and seven-second trailer, Nana is seen looking for the perfect bride for him, someone who can cook really well. The trailer contains all the comedy spices that will make you laugh, such as when Nana sits with a girl and she orders fresh lime soda without sugar and ice, to which he sarcastically replies, “Nimbu chalega? (lemon will work)”.
He was shown being chastised by his peers for rejecting a girl because she dislikes groundnut chutney, and he invited the chef in her home to accompany him because he can cook good food for him.
Everyone makes fun of him for placing such a high value on food. What begins as a misdialed number quickly turns into feelings between Tukaram (Nana Patekar), an archaeologist, and Madhura (Shriya Saran), a radio jockey.
When the real time comes for them to meet, the story becomes more interesting. There are several twists and turns in the story that keep the reader confused.
‘Tadka: Love Is Cooking,’ written and directed by Prakash Raj, is a romantic comedy full of confusion and all the elements that can make the audience laugh out loud. He stated: “Tadka is a one-of-a-kind film filled with laughter, food, and joy. I admired the original Malayalam film, ‘Salt N Pepper,’ and wanted to adapt and direct it in Hindi because it is such a touching yet funny and entertaining story.”
“I am grateful to Nana Patekar, Shriya Saran, Taapsee Pannu, and Ali Fazal for joining me on this journey, and I look forward to Tadka filling people’s bellies and hearts with love and joy,” he added.
Shriya also stated: “I had heard so many good things about the original film, ‘Salt N Pepper,’ that when I was approached to be a part of the Hindi remake, I jumped at the chance because it isn’t often that you get to work with Prakash Raj and Nana Patekar.
Tadka is the kind of cinema that I admire and enjoy because it feels like a warm hug on a cold day, and I hope that the audience enjoys our sweet film as well “.
‘Tadka: Love Is Cooking’ will be available on ZEE5 beginning November 4th.
