In the First Trailer for Lionsgate’s “Alice, Darling,” Anna Kendrick Can Be Seen Pulling Out Her Hair

The first trailer for “Alice, Darling,” which stars Anna Kendrick and is directed by Mary Nighy, has been released. The world premiere of Nighy’s first movie as a director took place at the Toronto Film Festival in September. She is the daughter of “Living” star Bill Nighy. Kaniehtiio Horn, Charlie Carrick, and Wunmi Mosaku are also in the psychological thriller.

Kendrick was nominated for an Academy Award for her role in “Up in the Air” in 2009. In “Alice, Darling,” she plays a woman whose abusive boyfriend, Simon, pushes her to the breaking point. Alice rediscovers who she is and gets some much-needed perspective while on a trip with two close friends.

Slowly, she starts to loosen the ties that keep her codependent. But Simon’s revenge is both inevitable and devastating, and once it starts, it puts Alice’s strength, courage, and her close friendships to the test.

Kendrick has kept looking for new and interesting roles like “A Simple Favor” (2018) and “Love Life” on HBO Max, but she has stayed true to the charming personality she shows in “Pitch Perfect” and “Noelle” from Disney.

“Alice, Darling” will be shown at the Palm Springs Film Festival. Kendrick will be there for a question-and-answer session about the movie. The festival will happen again from Thursday, January 5, to Monday, January 16, 2023.

Katie Bird Nolan, Christina Piovesan, Noah Segal, Lindsay Tapscott, and Sam Tipper-Hale are the people who make “Alice, Darling.” The script was written by Alanna Francis, and the film will have its first showing on December 30. On January 20, it will be shown to more people.
