Apart from chillies, gram flour, potatoes and spices are used in making mirchi vada. This recipe is ready in minutes. It can also be served with food. Making Mirchi Vada is also very easy.

Ingredients for making Chilli Vada

Chillies (long, thick, yellow in color) – 5-6
Besan- 1 cup
Boiled potatoes – 2-3
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Amchur- 1/2 tsp
Oil – for frying
Salt – as per taste

To make Rajasthani Style Chilli Vada

First, boil and peel the potatoes and put them in a mixing bowl and mash them well. Now mix well with red chilli powder, garam masala, amchur and salt to taste. Now take the peppers and make a slit in the middle of all of them. Be careful not to cut them completely.

After that remove the seeds from the pepper and keep it aside. It will spoil the spice of chili.

Now heat a pan with oil on medium flame. When the oil is hot, fill the space inside the chilies with the prepared aloo masala. After that put chickpea flour in a bowl, add water and make a thick batter.

After that fry the chillies well with gram flour. Then add the chillies to the hot oil. Similarly, one by one, wrap all the chillies in gram flour and keep them in the pan for frying. Fry the chillies until golden brown.

After that take it off the gas on a plate.

Serve the delicious Rajasthani style chili with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
