There are reports of falsification of PAN. Instances of loans taken against the PAN of others have come to the fore. After this the ears of the Income Tax Department have stood up. The common man is also in the box. From general to special person, PAN information has to be given on the spot. Often I do not even remember where the PAN was issued. In such a situation, if a person cheats, then he gets into trouble. The best way to do this is to check your PAN records from time to time. Considering the importance of PAN and Aadhaar, cross-checking of such documents is a must. Checking PAN details is not a difficult task. It can also happen online on your mobile phone. In a very short time we know that there is no misuse of PAN.
In checking the details, if it appears that there is any discrepancy or misappropriation with the PAN, report the same to the Income Tax Department immediately. An incident has come to the fore in Chennai in which a loan was taken on the PAN of another person. This case is related to fintech startup Dhani App. After this incident it seems more important to check PAN details. If the loan is given on the PAN of any other person, the bank has the right to cancel it. But this action will be taken only after we detect the misuse of PAN. Then you have to make a written complaint to the bank. The complaint should state that the PAN was used without our consent. If the bank does not take action then you can approach the customer forum.
