When asked about mental health, Virat said, “As an athlete you can perform your best in sports, but at the same time you are constantly under pressure which can affect your mental health. It is definitely a serious issue and we try to stay strong, But it can be broken. My advice to young athletes would be that focusing on fitness and recovery is the key to being a good athlete, but connecting with yourself is important.

Kohli also said, “Personally I have experienced times when I felt lonely even among people who supported and loved me. I know many would agree with that. So take time for yourself and connect with yourself. Otherwise other things will not take time to decompose. You have to learn how to divide your time so that there is a balance.”
Asked about the challenges as a player, Virat Kohli said, “I think I perform at my best because of the competition in terms of focus. There is no margin for error in a game like cricket. It challenges me. That’s really something I pay a lot of attention to. It’s a big job. As an athlete, the focus is always on your team winning, but challenges make you better.”
