A case of giving milk of expiry date to patients admitted in Ballia District Women’s Hospital has come to the fore. However, as soon as the matter came to light, the hospital administration started investigation. It is noteworthy that for the health of the women admitted to the District Women’s Hospital, arrangements have been made by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to provide milk for delivery. Under this, a firm was given a contract to provide milk to the patients admitted to the Ballia District Women’s Hospital, but on behalf of this contractor, the patients admitted to the District Women’s Hospital were given milk of expiry date.

After this, the relatives of the patient saw the milk of the expiry date and complained to the medical officer in charge. CMSA has started investigating the matter on the basis of complaints from the relatives of the patients. Rashid Imamuddin, Chief Medical Officer, District Women’s Hospital said that the matter has been noted. An inquiry has been initiated and the firm will be blacklisted if the charges are proved along with seeking clarification from the contractor.

Area DCP South Mridul Kachhwa said that now action will be taken against those who spread videos with false facts. Talking to reporters, the DCP reiterated that the police investigation team has thoroughly scrutinized and examined both the videos and found no objectionable material in any of the clips.
