If you don’t have ready-made cashew flour, grind some lightly roasted cashews in a blender and use them in the recipe.

Instead of buying sweets from the market at the festival, make these sweets for your friends and family. If you want to soak malpua with sugar, you can make sugar syrup separately. Soak the malpuas in it before serving. To make the syrup, boil 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water until a double-string syrup forms.

Ingredients for making cashew malpua-
1 cup flour
1/2 cup cashew flour
Milk 2 cups
Ghee as required
1/2 cup semolina
1/4 teaspoon green cardamom
1/2 cup granulated sugar

How to make Kaju Malpua recipe

In a large bowl, whisk all-purpose flour, semolina, sugar, cashew flour and cardamom powder.

Add milk and mix well to make a lump free batter. You can add a little extra milk to adjust the consistency of the batter.

Heat some desi ghee in a pan for frying. Now put a spoonful of batter in the middle of hot oil.

Fry the malpuas until golden brown on both sides. You can serve malpua or dip it in sugar syrup if you want it sweeter.
