Yes, Erin Maroney Fraser, the popular actress, died at the age of 53. It is painful to hear of the untimely death of the SNL writer, who has left everyone, including her family and friends, shocked.

This year has been challenging for the SNL team, since their beloved set designer Eugene Lee, who had worked on the show since its first year, passed suddenly just two weeks ago. According to reports, Erin Maroney Fraser died as a result of a brain hemorrhage. A GoFundMe campaign was created for her children, and the page revealed the cause of her death. She was survived by her three children, two of whom are students at Fraser’s alma school, Emory University. Her eldest child was an Emory University graduate.

She began working for Michaels in 1991, and after four years, she was promoted to staff writer on the sketch comedy show. She also contributed to the writing of 18 episodes.
