Ingredients for making Date Kheer
Milk – 1 liter
Dates – 1 bowl
Round – 1/4 bowl
Rice – 1 tbsp
Knead – 1/4 bowl
Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
Chopped nuts – 1/2 bowl
Ghee – 1 tbsp
how to make date pudding
To make date pudding, first put milk in a vessel and keep it to heat on medium flame. Meanwhile, heat a spoonful of ghee in a pan. When ghee melts, add dry fruits and fry till it turns pink. Put them in a bowl and keep them aside. Now take dates and separate its seeds. Put the remaining ghee in the pan, sprinkle some water, cover it and bring it to a boil. After boiling for a while, the dates will become soft. After this, put the coarse pieces of dates in the mixer.
When the milk comes to a boil, add a spoonful of rice and cook it while stirring it with a spoon. Boil the milk till it becomes half. After this, add the mash to the milk and keep stirring it with a spoon. When the milk becomes thick, turn off the gas and add jaggery as per taste. Mix it well with a spoon in the pudding. Then add boiled and coarsely ground dates. Now once again turn on the gas and let the milk rise for a minute or two for the pudding. Lastly, add dry fruits to the pudding. Your delicious date pudding is ready.
