BMW Motorrad has started the pre-launch bookings for the new BMW G 310 RR in the Indian market. The company is paving the way for the launch of new mid-level sports bikes and hence foraying into this segment as well. Till now BMW has been selling premium bikes in the Indian market. The new 310cc bike is expected to get more customers after its launch on July 15. This is expected to further expand the company’s base in the Indian market.
appearance and design
The company has released the teaser of this new bike. Based on this, the design of the BMW G 310 RR closely matches the design elements of the Apache RR 310. It can also be called a rebate version of the RR 310. The company has also given a glimpse of the upcoming bike’s color scheme and new sticker design. The bike has been given Red, Blue and Purple lever which gives it a special look.
engine power
The mechanics of the bike should be similar to the Apache in appearance. It will be powered by the same 310 cc single-cylinder engine. This engine is also used in the BMW G 310 Twins. The engine generates maximum power of 34 hp and peak torque of 27.3 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
platform
The platform used in the new BMW G 310 RR has been developed in partnership with the company’s TVS Motors. Both the companies will use the platform for their models. Note that the BMW G 310 GS Adventure-Tour will also get the same platform. Apart from this, it is the same platform that has been used in the TVS Apache RR 310. Apart from this, the new mid-level sports bike will be similar to the RR 310.
How much will it cost?
The price of the new BMW RR 310 is expected to be around the Apache RR 310 (Apache RR 310). However, there are speculations that the bike will be priced around Rs. 2.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). After the launch, the bike will compete with the KTM RC 390 in its segment in the Indian market.
