Presently electricity is supplied to the grids located in Sonvarsharaj and Madhepura town of Saharsa district. After completion of charge velocity, electricity will be supplied to Khagaria and Begusarai from Saharsa Power Grid. Senior General Manager, Power Grid Mithilanchal Transmission said that Power Grid is still capable of delivering electricity to Khagaria and Begusarai districts, but for this, the concerned department of the state government will have to complete the necessary work for connection to the sub-division. station.
The foundation stone of Saharsa Power Grid was laid on 19 January 2019 by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union Minister of State for Power. The power grid line was charged on September 10, 2021. Its cost is around Rs 400 crore.
Under the LILO project, the 400 kV Kishanganj-Darbhanga line will be connected to the Saharsa power grid (substation) next week. After that Saharsa Power Grid will also start getting electricity from Darbhanga-Kishanganj line. Presently Saharsa Power Grid gets its electricity from Patna-Kishanganj line. 40-40 MW power is being supplied from Saharsa Power Grid to Sonvarsharaj and Madhepura Grid of Saharsa district since October 14 last year.
Let us inform that the Saharsa power grid of both the circuits of LILO 400 KV Kishanganj-Darbhanga line will be charged with four lakh volts anytime after April 11. Green will be done through Panchgachia, Patori, Bihra, Daurama, Okahi, Sihaul, Rakiyapatti, Purikh, Tuniyahi and Bela in Saharsa district.
Karnapur, Malhani, Simra, Parsarma, Parsauni, Ghughaura will pass through Parsauni after joining the green of Supaul in the district. After this arrangement, electricity will come from Kishanganj to Saharsa sub-centre and then it will go to Darbhanga. This will greatly improve the power supply system. There will also be enough electricity for agricultural work.
114 towers have been constructed to connect Darbhanga-Kishanganj line with Saharsa power grid. At the same time, 211 towers were constructed to connect Saharsa power grid with Patna-Kishanganj line. In which electricity was charged in the month of September last year.
