Big blow to Nirav Modi, big success for CBI

CBI has got a big success in the bank fraud case when fugitive businessman Nirav Modi has got a big setback. In fact, the CBI has been successful in bringing back Nirav Modi’s important aide Subhash Shankar from Cairo to Mumbai. The CBI had been running a campaign for some time to bring them back to the country. According to reports, 49-year-old Subhash Shankar had fled India with Nirav Modi in 2018. He is considered to be the closest aide of Nirav Modi. The CBI will now take Subhash into custody after producing him in a Mumbai court.

Interpol issued notice
In 2018, Interpol issued a Red Corner Notice against Nirav Modi, his brother Nishal Modi and his employee Subhash Shankar at the request of the CBI to probe the PNB Bank scam. The Red Corner Notice (RCN) was issued by the Interpol four years ago on the basis of a chargesheet filed by the CBI in a special court in Mumbai and an arrest warrant issued by Special Judge JC Jagdale.

Nirav Modi accused of scam of Rs 7,000 crore
Let us inform that Nirav Modi had done a scam of about 7000 crores from PNB. After which he fled abroad. He is currently in jail in London. The Government of India is making every effort to bring it back. Nirav Modi bought the iconic Rhythm House building in 2017 through his company Firestar Diamonds. His plan was to convert it into a heritage property. He is believed to have bought most of the property with the proceeds from the PNB scam.
