Anupam Mittal of India’s “Shark Tank” Slams a Pitchman for Plagiarising His Idea, Saying, “Dirty Games Are Not Allowed”!!

Anupam Mittal, a judge on Season 2 of Shark Tank India, told a pitcher that their idea was already on the market because it was copied from Shark Tank USA.

Anupam Mittal, one of the judges on Shark Tank India Season 2, told a “proud” about a children’s learning app that they shouldn’t be “proud” of their product because it’s just a copy of a US-based app.

In the most recent episode of Shark Tank India 2, two people named Gunjan Gupta and Sourav Gupta walked up to the stage and pitched an app for kids called “Gunjan Apps Studios.”

The two people didn’t realise they had made a similar app because they were in love and said, “It was our Eureka moment. Humne socha humne kuch fodd diya hai,”said Sourav. But when Vineeta Singh heard their whole pitch and tried the app, she did not like the product.

Vineeta Singh said, “I didn’t learn anything from the app. I didn’t find it useful.” She also said that the app is very addicting, so kids will spend a lot of time on it, which will stop them from learning.

Vineeta was talking, but the duo pitcher cut her off and said, “You can’t call it addictive.” This also made Vineeta Singh mad, and she soon stopped caring about the product.

Anupam Mittal, on the other hand, told the pitchers that they had stolen the idea of an app from the US and were now giving it away. Anupam Mittal told Sourav, “The way you talk about your apps makes it sound like you think you’ve made something groundbreaking.” Do you know about ABC Mouse?”

He also said, “In the US, it is a very popular app. You have made that app free by copying it. Have you heard of the app Kidopia? It’s the same kind of thing. Has anyone told you about the Appy store? We have made a similar thing.”

Soon, the couple denied copying, and Anupam Mittal asked him to meet him outside the show so he could show him the games his 5-year-old daughter plays on Kidopia that are very similar to his app.

Even though the idea and the guy, Sourav, were interesting to Shark Tank India 2 judge Aman Gupta, he made a joke and said, “Bhai, if you’re going to have a boys’ party, let me know.”

Sourav and Gunjan didn’t get a deal from the sharks. Namita Thapar and Vineeta Singh said they weren’t interested in giving kids more screen time, but Aman Gupta said he wasn’t worried about the competition and backed out.

Shark Tank India is a reality show that gives aspiring entrepreneurs a place to get help, advice, and money from more experienced entrepreneurs. Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Amit Jain, Vineeta Singh, and Namita Thapar are the judges for Shark Tank India 2. The show is on Sony TV and can be watched online on SonyLIV.
