After 1150 more people were found infected with the corona virus in the country, the total number of infection cases has gone up to 4,30,34,217, while the number of patients undergoing treatment has come down to 11,365.

So far 185.55 crore doses have been given under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination campaign. According to the ministry, the daily infection rate was 0.25 percent and the weekly infection rate was 0.23 percent in the last 24 hours. The ministry said on its website that its figures are being reconciled with the data of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

While there were four crore cases in the country
Significantly, the number of infected in the country had reached 20 lakh on 7 August 2020, 30 lakh on 23 August 2020 and more than 40 lakh on 5 September 2020. The total cases of infection exceeded 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November. By 19 December 2020, the number of such cases in the country had crossed one crore. Last year on May 4, the number of infected was more than 20 million and on June 23, 2021 it had crossed 30 million. The case had crossed Rs 4 crore on January 26 this year.

States and Union Territories have 17.54 crore vaccines available
Let us tell you that the central government is committed to accelerate and increase the spread of corona vaccination across the country. Nationwide COVID-19 vaccination started on 16 January 2021. Immunization drive has been intensified for availability of more vaccines, availability of vaccines for States and Union Territories. As part of the nationwide vaccination campaign, the Government of India is supporting the states and union territories by providing free corona vaccine. The Health Ministry said that so far more than 17.54 crore vaccines are available with the states and union territories.
