Today, the birth anniversary of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar is being celebrated all over the country. Today i.e. on April 14, he was born in a village called Mahuna in Madhya Pradesh. Tributes are being paid all over the country to Ambedkar, the messiah of Dalits and the architect of the Constitution. The central government has also declared this day as a holiday across India. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi tweeted and paid tribute to Ambedkar. He tweeted that Ambedkar has made an invaluable contribution to India’s progress. It is a day to reaffirm our commitment to make their dreams come true for our country.

Why is Ambedkar Jayanti special?

Ambedkar is also called the father of the Indian Constitution, as the world’s longest written constitution was prepared under his chairmanship. Babasaheb strongly opposed the caste system and also took many steps for the upliftment of Dalits. This is the reason why he is also called the messiah of Dalits.
