Sara Ali Khan’s Film “Ae Watan Mere Watan”: Sara Portrays a Courageous Freedom Fighter, Watch Teaser
On Monday, Sara Ali Khan’s first appearance in the Prime Video original film Ae Watan Mere Watan was presented. For her job, she dons a novel, unheard-of appearance. Sara portrays a courageous freedom fighter in the Kannan Iyer-directed movie. It is reportedly a thriller drama based on real-life incidents.
Sara is dressed in a pre-Independence-era appearance in the Ae Watan Mere Watan teaser. She is shown in a sari drawing back every curtain in the space before sitting down to assemble what appears to be a radio. “The British feel they have limited the Quit India campaign,” she adds after setting it up. “I am very pleased and honored that Prime Video and Dharmatic Entertainment have given me the opportunity to be a part of a film that I honestly believe deserves to be told,” Sara remarked in a press release, expressing her excitement about being in the movie. I am pleased to be able to represent a character who reflects boldness, strength, and courage as an actor and, more significantly, as an Indian.
Additionally, she said “Working with Kannan Iyer sir is a true honor since he is so enthusiastic about and invested in the narrative. I’m going to put a lot of effort into this endeavor, even if it is undoubtedly difficult to portray a character who is extremely different from anything I’ve ever done before. Most importantly, I’m going to treasure each day I get to portray a mysterious freedom fighter.
Ae Watan Mere Watan, as stated in the synopsis, depicts the daring journey of a Bombay college student who later becomes a freedom warrior. The movie portrays the tale of the bravery, patriotism, sacrifice, and resourcefulness of the young people of India and is set against the backdrop of the 1942 Quit India Movement.
Additionally, the film’s creator, Karan Johar, stated that it “is an effort to present to the audiences a lesser-known part of Indian history” of the independence movement. I am grateful to Prime Video and Dharmatic Entertainment for giving me the chance to direct this movie, which was based on actual events that occurred during the extremely perilous days of India’s freedom struggle.
