Actress Rashmika Mandanna Has Said, “Can’t Expect Them to Solely Like You if You Put Yourself Out There,” as She ‘Disliked’!!

Rashmika Mandanna discussed people's reactions to her and listed possible reasons why some 'dislike' her.

The actor has come under fire for claiming she did not watch Rishab Shetty’s Kannada film Kantara after it was released in September of last year.

Rashmika Mandanna made her Bollywood debut in October of last year with the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Goodbye. The actor was recently in the news after she was chastised by some for not watching Kantara for a long time; the Rishab Shetty-starrer is one of the highest-grossing Kannada films of all time, and was released in September last year. Rashmika has now opened up about how she deals with the ‘hate’ she receives in a new interview.

Recently, Kannada actor Kiccha Sudeep responded to Rashmika’s criticism after she stated that she had not watched Kantara; he stated that a celebrity’s life is about getting ‘garlands as well as eggs, tomatoes, and stones’.

Rashmika had previously told the media in November that she did not have time to watch Rishab Shetty’s Kantara. Some on social media criticized Rashmika for her comment, saying she had “forgotten her roots”; Rishab had directed her debut film, Kirik Party (2016).

Rashmika Mandanna told Bollywood Bubble about people’s reactions to her: “I realised that as actors, we can’t expect people to only like us. You will not pay for everyone’s cup of tea. As a result, there will be a lot of hatred. There will be a lot of love. But people will end up talking about you. Yeah! We’re well-known people. We’re talking to the general public. We are present. We’re promoting our movies. We’re conducting interviews.”

Rashmika continued, “Maybe just the way I like to talk or me doing these hand gestures, some people might not like. Some people may dislike the fact that I am so expressive through my expressions. And any of these reasons could make them dislike me. But there is also a lot of love, for which I am truly grateful.”

Rashmika posted a lengthy note on Instagram about dealing with negativity last year. “A couple of things have been troubling me these last few days or weeks or months or maybe even years now and I think it’s time I address it. I’m just speaking for myself, which I should have done years ago. I’ve been the target of a lot of vitriol since I began my career. “I’m a punching bag for a lot of trolls and negativity out there,” she wrote.

Rashmika will soon be seen in the movie Animal with Ranbir Kapoor. This movie will be Ranbir and Rashmika’s first time working together on screen. Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor are also in the movie, which is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who directed Kabir Singh.
