Two people who went to Kashmir to earn money from Bagaha in West Champaran district of Bihar were shot dead by terrorists. Both father and son were injured in the attack. They have been identified as 46-year-old Jokhu Choudhary and his 23-year-old son Patileshwar Chaudhary, residents of Siktaur village of Koluha Chautarwa under Chautarawa police station area. It is learned that Jokhu Chaudhary was shot in the right hand and leg while Patileshwar was shot in the right hand.
The relatives of the injured told that on March 7, about 100 people of the village had gone to Kashmir for work and wages. Including father and son. People who went to work together got information on Monday that both father and son had been shot. As soon as this information was received, anger spread in the village and there was an atmosphere of fear. The wife of injured Jokhu Chaudhary is crying. People close to him told that Jokhu is the only son of Chaudhary who has gone to Kashmir to work with him.
Devi of the village told that her husband has also gone to Kashmir to earn money. He spoke to her on the phone and said that everyone is locked up and is sitting safely. “We don’t want outside money,” she said. We will live by eating salt and bread. But my father and others return safely, this is the only prayer to God.
About 70 families of the village have migrated to Pulwama in Kashmir in search of livelihood. On getting the information of the incident on Monday, all the people left their jobs and started calling their families. However, despite getting information from everyone, most of the villagers were unknowingly scared, as even dinner was not prepared for them.
