Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is on a tour of America these days. From there he sent a message to the new Prime Minister of Pakistan, Sharbaz Sharif. Apart from this, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh appealed to American companies to come and invest in India and support the ‘Make in India’ program. “We have asked American companies in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu to work and invest in this area,” he said. As a large country, the center of the Indian Ocean and as a democracy, India’s ‘Act East’ and ‘Neighborhood First’ policies play an important role in the wider Indian Pacific and Indian Ocean region.
Rajnath Singh said that India is working with the US to double its capabilities in the traditional and emerging defense sectors. “Since the visit of Defense Minister Austin to India in March 2021, we have made significant progress in a number of defense cooperation activities,” he said.
